Statement Rings

I was on Pinterest and I came across this post about making Statement Rings out of buttons...I couldn't resist making a couple for myself.
I have a jar of funky buttons, and these were just too cool to pass up for this project.  I got the ring blanks from JoAnn's and with the button and a little E6000 I now have two new rings to wear.  I think they turned out really awesome!  I totally am going to make more.  These are too fun!!!

Stay crafty, my friends!

It's really happening!

Hi, All!  I hope you are all having the most excellent summer!  We are super busy getting ready to move!!  I am so excited, because I am going to get a craft room that's twice as big as the one I have now…I can't wait to create some awesome things when I get it all set up.

I thought I would show you my sad, sad current craft room.  UGH!  I haven't' been able to craft anything in weeks.  I am needing a crafting fix, right NOW!!

All I kept out was this tote full of stuff for my planner and my computer.  Can you see the movie on it?  I was watching "Double Indemnity" while packing the last of my stamps.  If you haven't seen it, you MUST!  It is an absolute classic that everyone should see, I highly recommend it.
My poor, sad, empty drawers.  No more stamps available.  BOO HOO!
My work table has been packed, and is now a packing table.
My closet is full of  boxes…but that's not all of them.  There are a lot of boxes in the garage too!
No more yarn, no more fabric.  The paper is all shrink wrapped.  It's soooooo depressing…

But…I can't wait to get my new room up and running!  I'll give you the tour as soon as I can.

Stay crafty, my friends…and craft some for me!!!

DIY Rolodex

I made this just because I really wanted one.
I used some wooden dowels that I had and constructed a chipboard box that would accommodate their size.  I covered it with papers and then used a Rolodex card as a guide to glue the dowels in.  I added a drawer pull by Tim Holtz and TAA DAA!!
The corners are made of card stock, cut in a circle then wrapped around the corners.

Stay Crafty, My Friends!!!
