Pie Plate Lazy Susan

Hey all!!!  How is everyone today?  I hope that your July is off to a wonderful start and that your summer is going most awesome!

I want to share with you another Lazy Susan project.  I made one before, and you can see
the post here.

I got the original idea from Alejandra, and you can see her tutorial here.

I took it another step and used a pie plate and a pie cutter for the organizer!
Isn't it pretty??  I used an old doily that I had in my closet.  I found this awesome pie cutter at a vintage store in my town.  Foxtrot Vintage is an awesome store.  Here is their Facebook Page in case you want to check it out.  I didn't see a blog or a website for their store, this is as close as I could get. It's a fantastic store.  I have purchased many cool little items for our home here.

Anyway...I spied the pie cutter and had to have it.  This is how I put together the organizer.

I got two pie plates from the store.  They were on sale, and two of them cost me just a few dollars.
I blocked the doily to make it all pretty...
...I filled one pie plate with marbles.  (I added more after the picture was taken, you should fill the bottom of the plate you are using.  It makes it turn nicer.)
I layered the other pie plate on top, then the doily, then the cutter.
Now I have a cute Lazy Susan with divided areas for my craft goodies.  You can see the other one I made out of cake plates in the upper left hand corner of the picture.  I love them!

Well, that's all for today.  Stay crafty and organized, my friends!

Nautical Themed Crochet Projects

Hi everybody!  I'm sorry I didn't post anything for last week...I'm not sure what happened, but I just didn't do it.  Please forgive me!

Today I want to show you the crochet projects that I have been doing.  I am sooooooo excited about these, and I think that the Grandkids will be too.

To start, I have an ocean themed bathroom.  I decided that I needed some themed washcloths for the kids when they come over to spend some time with the grand folks! I used cotton crochet yarn for all of these so that they will wear well and wash perfectly.
I found all of these projects FOR FREE ON PINTEREST!!!  I love Pinterest...I just LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!  Here are a list of links so if you are interested you can make some of the for yourselves!  Some of these patterns are technically for dishcloths and the Sea Horse is actually a coaster...but they all worked up lovely for bath time cloths.

Sand dollar

Turtle

Fancy Goldfish

Sea Horse

Ship's Wheel

Fish

Scallop Sea Shell

Star Fish

My other project is this AWESOME Island Play Set!  I found this pattern also on Pinterest, and I added a couple more sea creatures to  the set.  It has a ribbon around the edge that draws the whole thing up into a bundle for storage.  It's a pack and play kind of toy!
The pattern for the basic play set is here.   I found it through Pinterest on "Cut Out and Keep".  It's awesome!
I added the pink fish in the background of this picture.  You can find the fish pattern here.
I also added this squid pattern, or as she calls it, the Kraken!
The last thing I added was this jelly fish.  Such a cute pattern, and you can find it here.
It turned out so cute that I am working on another set, this time a farm set.  I'll let you know when I get it done!

Have a great day, and stay crafty, my friends!

My Happy Fitness Planner

Hi All.  I think this will conclude my Happy Planner Madness for a while...well maybe.  I may have one more thing to show you in a future post or two. (Hee Hee)

Or should I say that my dog, Ace, wants to show you this planner?  Here he is, with my Happy Fitness Planner.
I picked this up and, as always, I love it!  There is a calendar and weekly progress spots to journal diet and exercise.
As you can see, I haven't really used it yet, but I have it and they have it UNDATED so I can start any time I wish.  I will be doing it soon, I really need to get motivated, and I think this will help me.  I have an idea of incorporating all of my health and wellness into this planner (things like blood pressure information, my doctor visit information, insurance information, etc.) and creating a Health and Wellness Planner that incorporates the fitness portion of the planner.  This whole project is on my list of to do's.

As always, stay crafty, and organized, my friends!
