Victorian Sewing Box Tutorial is Live!!

Hi, and welcome back to A Creative Operation! Today I have the tutorial I did as a design team project for Country Craft Creations or my Victorian Sewing Box. I did a walk through of this project in a video you can see here. This project can be adapted to create an "album" or use as a gift box, the design is very versatile! Below is a cut list and a list of the supplies used. I do share how to make the hexagon patterns you will need to make this project using a compass! This project brought out the "math nerd" in me! If you use a cutting machine you can cut them out with that. If you are a member of Scrapbookers of Country Craft Creations Facebook page, then you will have access to files for the Cricut and Silhouette to cut these shapes. Any of these methods will work to make the shapes. For the hexagons you will need to make patterns for shapes with the following side sizes: 3 3/4, for the box top 3 5/8, for the patterned paper for the box top, and/or the mat for the box top 3 1/2, for the box bottom (you will cut two of these) and one in the patterned paper for the box top 3 3/8, for the patterned paper for the box bottom For the box sides, 6 - 3 1/2 x 6 in the main color and 12 at 3 3/8 x 4 7/8 for the mats in the contrasting color. Pockets, 6 - 6 1/2 x 2 1/2 in the main color Inner box, 1 - 10 x 10 Lid Sides, 6 - 4 1/2 x 2 You will make one large hexagon in the main color, and two of the I used a variety of products from Country Craft Creations, including the paper collection "A Mother's Love" available here. I did use the 12 x 12 paper collection for both the walk through project and the tutorial project. I used Artisan cardstock for both projects. The first used Brown and Kraft, this tutorial project used Denim and Baby Blue. I also used the following: Seam binding lace

Pom pom trim Flowers You will also need Art Glitter Glue, Scor Tape, and Foam Tape. The items that I put in the boxes mostly came from Hobby Lobby (the sewing kit and the embroidery supplies). I used buttons and some flowers from my stash. If you have any questions please let me know, I'm always happy to help. I want all of my tutorials to be easy to understand and follow. Thanks for watching and have a crafty day!

Victorian Sewing Box Design Team Project Walk Through using "A Mother's Love" by Country Craft Creations

Good morning, welcome to Monday. I want to share this walk through for an upcoming design team project I'm making for Country Craft Creations. I'm using "A Mother's Love", which is an exclusive paper collection from Country Craft Creations, and it is just gorgeous. It's not only full of imagery for a mother's love for her children, but it also has a fantastic sewing theme! When I first saw it, I knew what I wanted to do. I made a Victorian Sewing Box! This project is simple, and I'll show you how to make the patterns for the hexagons. It's really easy, and once you know, you will be able to adapt that shape for future projects! So grab your compass and let's have some fun! I used Artisan Cardstock in Brown and Kraft. "A Mother's Love" paper collection (12 x 12). The pom pom trim can be found here. Flowers are from my past design team projects and from my stash, but there are amazing flowers here.
Art Glitter Glue, this is a must have! I also used small wooden spools and buttons from my stash. Enjoy and I'll see you soon with a tutorial! Stay crafty!

Let's Make Some Cards!!!

Hi everyone, welcome back. Today I have a tutorial for 4 different cards that I have been wanting to learn how to make. These are not my ideas, I don't know where they originated from, but they have many many many tutorials for these cards out there in video land. I have been sick, and watched a ton of tutorials since I didn't feel up to actually crafting. I decided that I wanted to make these cards, and figured if I didn't know how to make them, others may be in the same boat! Let's learn together!!

I will be doing the Herringbone Technique, the Cube Pop Up Card, the Triple Panel Card, and the Impossible Card. I made models from scraps leftover from my Country Craft Creations design team package that featured Carta Bella's "Farmhouse Summer" paper collection. For the tutorial, I am remaking them using the "Our Graduate" collection, exclusive to Country Craft Creations.
I am using Artisan cardstock, and Gold Mirror paper, also available at the store. I will have a list of supplies with links below. I don't have a cut list, but all measurements and how to's are in the tutorial, along with diagrams that you can copy down or screen shot for future use. I hope you enjoy the tutorial. I have more card techniques that I want to make, so I'm going to make an effort to continue with this type of tutorial. YAY! Thanks for watching, and stay crafty! Supplies: I tried to remember everything, but if I did forget a product, please check out the store and search in the search bar. You will find what you need easily!

Bloom Where You’re Planted Folio Project for Country Craft Creations

Art Glitter Glue

Heart Felt Creations Album Tags and Accents  Die

Photo Play Folio 3

From my stash I used a brad and two jump rings to attach the charm to the spine

Stay crafty, my friends!
