Christmas Tree Box and Album Tutorial

My tutorial is live on YouTube!  YAY!
In the video I will show you how to make the box and the album.  I will be using Echo Park's "Twas the Night Before Christmas, Volume 2" for the tutorial.
It is an easy project to do and one that I think you will love.  Please come and check it out!
Here is the link to the video.

Below is the cutting guide so that you can maximize the use of the cardstock.  I also show you a really cool way to get four 4 1/2 x 6 1/2 mats out of one sheet of cardstock!

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have fun with this project.

Stay crafty, my friends!

Christmas Tree Box and Mini Album

Good evening!!!  I have made this album using papers I bought when I was at the latest Creating Keepsakes Convention a couple of weeks ago.  I used Authentique's "Alpine" paper line, and I think it turned out wonderful!
I wanted to make a Christmas Tree shaped box.  The box could be done separately and used as a gift box, but the album inside is just awesome to place into it for a gift.
I have a video share that covers the whole project.  I hope to have a tutorial done very soon.

Thanks for visiting, and don't forget to stay crafty!!!

Christmas Album in a Box Tutorial

Hello!  I created this album in a box and I have done a tutorial for it on YouTube.  I wanted to share a few pictures and give the link to the video.  Below you will find the cutting guide pictures for the card stock and the cutting list.
This album is fun...The box folds open, almost "explosion" style to reveal an inner box that holds the album in place.  The inside covers also have a pocket and a waterfall feature.
This would be a fun album to do for lots of different themes, birthdays, babies, etc.

I used Graphic 45's "Christmas Magic" collection.  I had used some of it for my "Perpetual Accordion Album" project I did for Country Craft Creations Christmas in July design team project.  If you are interested in visiting that tutorial you can find it here.    I had purchased all of the paper, including the Artisan Cardstock at Country Craft Creations.  Visit the store and see what wonderful supplies she has in stock for you!
So the link to the tutorial video on YouTube can be found here.

You will be using 10 sheets of cardstock, and one magnet. I used about 2/3rds of a pack of patterned papers. Cutting List: Box Piece A: 2 at 9 x 10 Box Piece B: 2 at 3 1/2 x 9 Box Bottom: 1 at 8 x 2 1/2 Inner Box: 1 at 7 1/2 x 12 Lid Piece A: 1 at 10 5/8 x 11 1/4 Lid Piece B: 1 at 4 1/2 6 5/8 Inner Back Box Cover Pocket 1 at 3 x 8 Inner Front Box Cover Waterfall: Pages: 6 at 4 3/4 x 6 1/4 Closure: 1 at 4 1/4 x 6 3/4 Mini Album Cover: 1 at 7 1/2 x 12 Mini Album Pages: 3 at 7 1/4 x 5 5/8 Mini Album Page 3 pockets: 2 at 3 x 6 1/4 Mini Album Page 4 Photo Mat: 1 at 4 1/4 x 6 1/4 Mini Album Page 4 Booklet: 1 at 4 1/2 x 4 1 at 4 1/2 x 3 1/2 Mini Album Page 5: Pocket Flap A, 1 at 4 x 7 1/2 Pocket Flap B, 1 at 4 x 6 1/2

Below you will find the cutting guides to show you how to cut your card stock.

"Life's a Journey" Tag Album Tutorial

Good morning, everyone!

I'm here today to share with you the tag album tutorial that I created for the Country Craft Creations design team!  I'm really excited about this album, the paper collection that I was given is amazing...the colors are spectacular.  The album is an easy one to do, but has so much interaction and opportunity to put pictures and journaling.

I used the Life's a Journey collection by Graphic 45, Graphic 45 square tags (which I built this album around) along with the Artisan Cardstock, seam binding, Graphic 45 pearl gems, and some various items from my stash.

Country Craft Creations is an amazing online store, and they have all of the supplies you need for this project.  They have the best customer service around, your order will ship within 24 hours, usually in just a couple of hours (seriously!), and the Artisan Cardstock is the best cardstock I have ever, ever, ever worked with.    Check them out by clicking this link!

The video tutorial is on my YouTube channel, and you can see it here by clicking this link.

I am using a new method of wrapping your chipboard designed by Tamra Kilgore-Merrill (who is the owner of Country Craft Creations and our awesome leader!). This is a link to her full tutorial that describes this method in detail. I do go over it in this video, but I encourage you to check out her tutorial! This is the second time I have done it and I love it! This is the link to her tutorial.

Here is a cutting list, and below that is a cutting guide to help you cut your cardstock.  I used 1 piece of 12 x 12" chipboard for the covers.  I used 10 sheets of cardstock.  I honestly don't know how much patterned paper I used because I used up a lot of scraps from my first project for this month.  I'm sorry about that!

Thanks for coming by and I hope you enjoy the tutorial!

CUTTING LIST

Chipboard:
2 @ 6 x 6"
1 @ 6 x 2 1/2"

Summer Adventure Camping Journal

This is a sneak peek picture of my 3rd project for Country Craft Creations's design team for the month of September.  I did a show and tell video about it.  This project used up all of the scraps that I had left over from my September design team package "Summer Adventure" by Echo Park.

I love how this project turned out.  It is so useful in so many ways.  Please head on over to my
YouTube Channel and watch the video.  I explain what I did to create a journal/planner/scrapbook to document your camping fun!

Witches Spell Book

 Happy Halloween!

OK, it is September, but to me it is Halloween Eve and I'm ready to decorate and have some crafty fun.  I made this awesome spell book and you have got to go and check out this tutorial.

Tamra from Country Craft Creations did a YouTube on this project and it is SPECTACULAR!

I went to Michael's and got some Halloween floral stuff for 40% off.  I also used the moss and I used ephemera from Tim Holtz.  The spider is also from Michaels, and the broom is Tim's as well.

This book does take a while to make.  With the painting and the Mod Podge there is dry time involved, but you won't be disappointed!!!  There is a link to the free printable (FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY) that she used, and I used here.  The link is here so you can get your own.

Go and watch this tutorial and make one, you will LOVE THIS!!!!!

Thanks for stopping by and have fun with this project

Stay crafty, my friends!

Summer Adventure Tent Album...The Tutorial is LIVE!!

Hello everyone!  The tutorial for my Summer Adventure Tent Album is live on YouTube!
The link to see it is here!
This is my 2nd September design team project for Country Craft Creations.  I was given the Echo Park collection "Summer Adventure" and it is soooooo CUTE!  I received patterned papers,            cut-aparts, stickers, ephemera, and the solids that coordinate with the collection.  I also used a cut file I bought for my Silhouette machine by Sophie Gallo.  Click here to get to her blog and if you have the Silhouette program look her up.  She made the perfect cut file for the pine trees I needed!

I have a PDF cutting guide for you to use to maximize the use of your card stock.
You can find that file here.
