Pamphlet Junk Journals

 I love this project.  I used up a bunch of ephemera paper packs that have been in my stash for YEARS!  I got them from a store that hasn’t been in business in a very long time (and I’m sad about it) and finally decided enough was enough and I needed to use it or lose it.

Calendar Box Tutorial and Hanging Calendar Version, A Bonus Country Craft Creations Design Team Project

 

Hi all! There is a story to this tutorial... This all started with making the Quilt Calendar Square designed originally by Angela Beavers. This was taught by Tamra, owner of Country Craft Creations in a live on the Scrapbookers of Country Craft Creations Facebook Group back in 2018 with Angela's blessing and permission. I have always wanted to make one, so when I saw this project come up again as a member had made one recently, I discovered the tutorial and I made one. I wanted to make myself a hanging calendar, so that was the direction I was going in.

Then I was asked by a fellow CCC member, Jenny, to come up with a box to put calendars in, with an easel of some sort, specifically for a 6 x 6 calendar. The calendar size taught is 8 x 8. So my creativity kicked in, and I made a box for an 8 x 8 AND a 6 x 6 version. This tutorial will show you ALL of these options...two box sizes and how I made it into a hanging calendar.

I can not teach the actual Quilt Calendar tutorial. For that, you must be a member of the Country Craft Creations Facebook group to access that video. We have an amazing Facebook Community as well, so please check it out... I also have a printable for the 2025 calendar that I designed for myself. You can access this in the link below. PLEASE BE AWARE...This printable worked for my computer and my printers (I tried it on two of the printers I have) and how I describe to cut them in the tutorial worked for me. Please test and check your printable to make sure the measurements and cutting is accurate. I had to ensure I printed at 100%. Please Check your settings. Make a practice page by only printing one page to start. I also recommend that you download the PDF file and then try to print, as it did not work correctly just printing from Google Drive. I used a total of 14 different Country Craft Creations exclusive papers to make these calendars and will name them all in the video. I was able to make them all with scraps leftover from previous projects. The link for all of the papers is here, and you can find them here. If they are sold out they will be reprinted, so please check back. Artisan cardstock, 100 lb, is what I used for the boxes, it and all of the other colors of Artisan can be found here.

Here is the cardstock cutting list. The scoring and measurements for patterned paper is in the video. Box for 8 x 8 Calendars: Easel/Tray 1 - 11 x 8 1 - 3 x 6 Box 2 - 12 x 9 Box for 6 x 6 Calendars: Easel/Tray 1 - 11 x 8 Box 2 - 10 7/8 x 7 Hanging Version of an 8 x 8 Calendar Tab Dies from Scrap Diva measured approximately 2 3/8 x 2 before folded, I made 13 total Backing cardstock measured 7 7/8 x 7 7/8, I used a total of 13 of these Photo Corners, 24 pieces of cardstock at 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 Calendar printouts cut at 7 3/4 x 7 3/4 I know this is a lot of information. Junk Portfolio Tutorial!!!

Here it is, thanks for being patient! I finally have made the tutorial for my Junk Portfolio. This is made from 4 grocery bags and it is loaded with pages and pockets and possibilities.

The bags I used were 12” wide, 10 1/2 tall and the bottoms are 6 3/4. I have used Tim Holtz papers for this version, along with a lot of fun ephemera and goodies that I have made in the past and kept for just the right project to use them with. Halloween Themed Mini Junk Journals

I followed a tutorial by Lyric Lover Crafts,    • Craft Fair Idea #4: Simple Mini Junk ... 

She did this as part of her craft fair series. I was super intrigued by these and had to make one.

Then I made a bigger sized one. Then I made a do-si-do version. I really hope you like these! I was able to smash the rest of my Photo Play "Fright Night" paper collection. I had used it for a prototype project, and had some left over that I used up for these. Thanks so much for watching. Please check out her tutorial, the binding is fantastic. I hadn't seen that before! If you want to make the bigger size one like I did, here are the measurements and scoring... For each journal the large pages were 12 x 7 1/2, score on the 12 at 5 1/2, 6, 6 1/2. Make two For the mini page, it was 12 x 4 1/2, score the same as the large page For the pocket page, 11 x 9 1/2. Score on the 11 at 5 1/2, score on the 9 1/2 at 2 (on the bottom) The spine is 2 x 7 1/2 The tag I cut at 4 1/2 x 7 1/4 Then I just went to town decorating! Stay crafty, my friends

Birthday Cards and MORE! Using the last bits of my Country Craft Creations "Birthday" Collection

Good morning!  

After I did my folio and my birthday cake I still had a few leftovers so I decided to see what I could do with them.  

I raided my stash of Country Craft Creations goodies and made some fun birthday cards, and more. I even used the cover sheet to make a simple folio.

Let's Make a Birthday Cake!!! A Country Craft Creations Design Team Project

This is a fun project, and one that I think you will love. This is a decor piece but also could be used for a stunning three tiered gift box! It all stores in itself and can be used for years to come as a decor piece on your special days. I will also be showing you how I created all of the flowers for this project. Document Folio Tutorial, Country Craft Creations Design Team, Bonus Project Edition!

Hey all! I have a ⭐️BONUS⭐️design team project for you today. 

I purchased the Photo Play "Everyday Junque" papers a little bit ago from Country Craft Creations specifically to do a tutorial on a project I had made for my Bestie at her request.  

She wanted a Document Folder that would be big enough to hold large certificates and items for safekeeping, could be stored in a file cabinet and could also be pretty enough to be out on the coffee table to share with family.

I came up with this design, and with the papers I purchased from Country Craft Creations I made this tutorial. Birthday Folio Tutorial...A Country Craft Creations Design Team Project

This is a fun one, and I hope you like it. I'm using the "Birthday" paper collection from Country Craft Creations, and it is just beautiful! I made this folio with the Artisan Cardstock (no chipboard needed). It is full of fun places to put pictures, and even pockets big enough to hold cards received. Below is a cut list for the cardstock (the patterned paper measurements are in the tutorial, so have a notepad handy), and a supply list for the items I received in my design team package for this project.

Ephemera Folio Tutorial, a Country Craft Creations Design Team Project

 

This is a quick tutorial on how I made an ephemera folio to hold bits and pieces you want to save for future projects. I shared this in the Country Craft Creations Welcome Summer Retreat Facebook page, and was asked about a tutorial, so here it is.  😎 It's very simple, and free-form so you can really do whatever you want with it.  I hope you enjoy this and make some for yourself.  I’m using my last bits of the exclusive collection, Soar, by Country Craft Creations. The measurements and scoring are in the video, and you only need 2 patterned papers at 8x8, and then scraps to make the pockets.  That's it!  Easy Peasy!

One Sheet Fun Fold Card Tutorial, a Quick and Easy Scrap Buster!

This is super quick, easy, and a great way to use up scraps in your stash.

All you need are a few pieces of patterned paper and one sheet of cardstock at 7 x 12.  A few decorations and you have cute cards!
