Halloween Rosette

I have been fighting a cold and fighting the loss of my crafty mojo and decided to dig though my supplies and create something...anything...and I did.
I used my Fringe and Score Board by We R Memory Keepers to create the rosettes.  It worked so well!  It makes 1/2" and 1" scores when doing rosettes.  I supposed you could reinsert the paper and line it up so that it could make 1/4" scores as well, but I haven't tested that yet.  It was easy peasy!  The largest spider rosette was two 12x12" papers, cut into 6" strips, scored at 1".  The smaller orange rosette was two 10"x12" papers, cut into 5" strips, scored at 1/2".

I used papers from Recollections, flowers from Tim Holtz and Petal, and chipboard pieces by My Mind's Eye.  The doily is by recollections. I added some ribbon and a little distress ink and taa daa...It is now gracing the door of my craft room.

What do you think?

Have a spooktacular day!

Eternal Love

I was inspired by some Pinterest pins, and decided to create something for myself.  The posts I saw were framed, but I wanted something that could stand on its own.
I love how this turned out.  I used some cheap mini skeletons that I found at my local Fred Meyer store.  They were already distressed looking, so it was perfect.  I bent them ever so carefully and used a hot glue gun to adhere them together.

I had some coasters by Technique Tuesday and covered them with papers by Creative Imaginations.  I distressed the edges with ink by Tim Holtz.  The flowers are by Recollections (the paper ones) and the resin ones are by Tim Holtz.  Finally I added bling by Zva Creative.

When I was done with it I showed it to my husband and he said that I was twisted...

SUCCESS!!!

Have a wonderfully spooky day!

Kitchen Halloween Art

This is another cool project that I made for my kitchen.  It sits above my refrigerator.  It is an award box that one of my coworkers got last year.  It was a HUGE BOX for a tie pin!  She asked me if I could make something crafty out of it, and here is what I did.  It had layers to it, so I took advantage of that.  The inner back of the box is a cool paper from My Minds Eye, the "Frightful" collection.  The next layer I did used the Echo Park paper from "The Apothecary Emporium".  Then I added embellishments and created a cool decoration.  I used a crow sticker from Jolee's, a skull bead (unknown), and by Tim Holtz I used a bottle with stickers, a pumpkin, spider and broom.

It was fun and it recycled and I love it.

What do you create with fun boxes?

Have a great day!

Haunting your Kitchen!

Hi all!  This is s SUPER SIMPLE PROJECT!!!  I saw this advertised somewhere, I have no idea where.  I saw it last year and decided to make one for myself.  I love this blood spill cutting mat!  I bought a pack of mats at the store for just a couple of dollars and cut it out.  I love it!

I also got the idea of wrapping Halloween themed wide ribbon around my canisters in the kitchen to jazz them up a bit.  I just cut them to fit and used binder clips behind them to keep them on.  I think I may have to do this for Christmas too!

Have a spooky day!

Haunted Desk

I have an amazing roll top desk that my BFF Jackie gave me.  For Halloween I "haunt" it!  A lot of the stuff I have recently purchased, but some of it I have had for a long time.  It is ever evolving.

One of the "props" is an old old old pair of glasses, a ledger book, and some other cool items.  I felt it needed a pocket watch.  So,  made one.

I gathered supplies from my stash.  I had the chain and the latch.  The skull I have no idea where it came from.  The watch is by Tim Holtz, and the clock face is actually a Jolee's sticker.  It turned out awesome!

Here is my desk.  I have books on the top that light up.  I made some "spell books" out of blank books.  In the fake typewriter I added photos by Tim Holtz that are halloween themed.  I even have a raven and a rat!

How do you decorate for Halloween?

Have a great day!

Happy October, Everyone!

Hi all!  How have you been? I hope everyone in blog land is doing well.  I have been ill for a while so I apologize for the delay in posting.  I haven't even felt like crafting much.   But, I am going to attempt to get my "stuff" together and post some great projects.

These first projects are actually from last year, but I have some new ones to show you as well!  I wanted to create a sort of future/fortune telling display on my coffee table so I went to the craft room and started creating.

I wanted a sort of Ouija board, but not a real one.  (Yes, I am scared of the real ones!)  So I got a tray from 7 Gypsies and made my own with Halloween stickers from my stash. The stickers were from the Carta Bella, "All Hallows Eve" collection.

After I put the stickers on it, I cut a piece of acetate to cover them.  I could use this as a serving tray if I wanted to.
I added handles from Graphic 45.  It turned out super cool!
I wanted a Voodoo Doll but ended up with this.  It's a "Dammit Doll".  If you get upset you are supposed to grab it's legs and hit an object and say "Dammit."  I didn't use it for that!

I got some toothpicks and some skull beads, glued them together for "pins" and put them in the doll.  Taa daa, I have a "Voodoo doll".
Here is my coffee table setup.  I have my Magic 8 Ball, my doll, my "Ouija" board, some tarot cards, and a cool Halloween crystal ball.  It turned out cool!

I hope you like it and I hope it give you a little Halloween inspiration.

Have a great day!
