Some Greeting Cards

I had an assignment of sorts.  I wanted to make a birthday card for my beautiful Daughter-in-Law Sarah, and my hubbin needed a "Thank You" card.  It was a card making day.  Here is what I came up with.
He needed it music themed, and of course manly, for his band members to sign.  I used papers and stickers by Creative Imaginations.

I had these letter stickers that I thought worked perfect for the inside of the card.  Plenty of room for the guys to write in it.
I used the papers from the Basic Grey collection "What's Up".  I made it using to card blanks.  I adhered them in the middle, making a pocket for her gift, and creating a try-fold at the same time.

This is the middle of the card, with the envelope/tag in it.

Here is the back of the envelope/tag, where her present is going to go.  I am really hoping that she likes it!

A Birthday Card for Madie

My niece is turning 17, and I thought I would use some of this GORGEOUS paper from Colorbok to make her this card.
I had these 6x6" gatefold cards.  I used punch outs from the paper line for the banner on the envelope.  The butterfly is from my paper bag spray catching.  I used some bling for the butterfly.  The yellow flowers are Prima, I think, the crocheted one is from this papers line of embellishments.
I added the pocket on the inside for the money she is going to get.  SHHHH, don't tell her!

Max is 13!!

I made this card for my nephew, who is going to be 13 on the 5th!

I found this tutorial on how to make Lenticular cards.

 I used papers from DCWV.
I found this poem on the internet, so I used that on a piece of the paper...
Then more of the DCWV paper.  If you look at it from one side, you see the poem, and from the other you see the "Happy Birthday"!
Here is a view from the top.  I added a coin envelope to the back of the card so that I could put a little something in it for his spending pleasure!

Swap Cards

I made these cards for a swap I did on Split Coast Stampers.
This one is a triple fold easel card that fits into a business envelope.

This is a gatefold with pockets...
The tags come out.  I meant for one to be for a handwritten message and the other could be for a gift card.
 The waterfall card.

Excuse the pic, I know it is blurry.

It's a Birthday Party

I have been busy mass producing Birthday invitations for my 8, soon to be 9 year old's party!  I wanted something bright and cheerful, the total opposite of our weather around here!  It was created using the old cricut cartridge, My Community.  Okay, only 24 more to go!

Vintage style card

I LOVE the soft vintagy shabby look that so many things have these days.  We layered this card using 6 patterned papers and the Fiskars scalloped boarder punch.
I think the rhinestones added a nice touch of elegance!

Olive U!

Just like Jackie said, we both got the Nifty Fifties Cricut cartridge and we both love it!  Unknown to us at the time, while she was making her card at her house, I was working on this card at my house!   I like to make my husband little "just because" cards and leave them around for him to find.  He loves a good martini, so this was perfect for him.
I cut out two of the martini glass shadows and attached them at the "bowl of the glass" so that the stems would separate to help it stand up.  I used glitter pens to color the star and the pimento in the olive.
I created the sentiment with the font on the cartridge, and  used my Gypsy to connect the letters.  I used my glitter pen to make olives out of the dots over the "I" and the exclamation point.

Have a creative day!

Woven Card

Creating this card sure was fun!  After determining the size of your card you will take for exp. a 3"x4" piece of cardstock & cut 1/4" strips lengthwise.  Make sure you stop about 1/2" from bottom so that all strips are still attatched.  The cut approx another 16 1/4" strips all the way off from another piece of paper & begin weaving through the first piece of paper with the attatched strips.  After you are done weaving, trim up edges to a matching length & snip open all those ends that we left attached.  On this card we stamped a butterfly & heat embossed it!  Have FUN!

Quick & Easy Card Ideas

If you have never used Crushed Velvet Flock, you are in for a treat!  I made this sample with two stamps, a glue pen & blue flock.  Stamp, add glue, sprinkle and tah dah!
It comes in single bottles or a multi pack!
The consistency is much finer than regular flocking.
It gives your projects a great velvety texture.
                                                                     Have Fun!!!
