Hi Everyone!

 Happy New Year!

Can you believe that it is already 2026?  I can't, but I'm ready for it.  Last year was quite challenging and I am so hoping that 2026 brings a better time for my family, my work and just life in general.

I have been neglectful of my blog...and I am sorry.  I know that a lot of you follow me on YouTube and Instagram, even on Pinterest...but I know some do rely on the blog as well.

My goals (I refuse to say resolutions, HAHA) for myself include a lot of things, but one of them is to revamp and upgrade this blog.  I want it to be amazing for you all, and a place you can come for lots of information and fun crafty things.  So, that being said, I will endeavor to redo my blog, update it and keep it current.  Please wish me luck with this!

I have a couple of videos out so far in January.  Please come and check them out.

First up, I have been a part of Country Craft Creations New Year's Eve Crop event.  This is so much fun and it is FREE!  Click on the video and see the Groovy layout that I created for this retro themed crop.  In the video's description you will find links to all of the free tutorials that the designers did.  I loved it so much and had a blast ringing in the new year with the retro designs and paper selections.

Next, I did the #paperstashsmash video, recapping December, sharing my plans for January, and also sharing news and updates the 2026 #paperstashsmash!  I love being a part of this group.  The creators are amazing and the ideas are endless!  In this video's description I have links to all of the creators channels, and also have links for our playlists (2025 and 2026) so you won't miss a thing.

Finally, today I posted this new version of my Book of Boxes series I have been doing with Dollar Tree Jewelry Gift Boxes.  They are fun to work with and you can make so many different gift boxes with them.  I have four versions in this series, and the information and links are in the video's description,

Thank you so much for hanging in with me and supporting my creative effort!
You are all amazing and I couldn't do it without you!

Explosion Scoreboard Gift Box with Attached Lid, A Tutorial!

Hi all! This was a request by a subscriber of mine, @mgobluebo and I am so excited to be able to share this tonight. She specifically requested using the scoreboard to make a 2 x 2 box. This will work with all 7 of the box sizes/lid sizes you can make with this scoreboard. The only adjustment is that you will cut the lid cardstock 1/8" smaller, but still use the same lid line to score with. It makes for a tighter lid for this type of box.

Here is my comprehensive scoreboard video with links to printables that you can view if you would like to. What to do with your Explosion Box Score Board https://youtu.be/pGCKys5ln4s?si=Phk2an3estR7DYm-
I hope you enjoy, it is quick and easy. As always, if you have any questions please let me know. I appreciate your support. Stay crafty, my friends!

Calendar Box Tutorial and Hanging Calendar Version, A Bonus Country Craft Creations Design Team Project

Hi all! There is a story to this tutorial... This all started with making the Quilt Calendar Square designed originally by Angela Beavers. This was taught by Tamra, owner of Country Craft Creations in a live on the Scrapbookers of Country Craft Creations Facebook Group back in 2018 with Angela's blessing and permission. I have always wanted to make one, so when I saw this project come up again as a member had made one recently, I discovered the tutorial and I made one. I wanted to make myself a hanging calendar, so that was the direction I was going in.

Then I was asked by a fellow CCC member, Jenny, to come up with a box to put calendars in, with an easel of some sort, specifically for a 6 x 6 calendar. The calendar size taught is 8 x 8. So my creativity kicked in, and I made a box for an 8 x 8 AND a 6 x 6 version. This tutorial will show you ALL of these options...two box sizes and how I made it into a hanging calendar.

I can not teach the actual Quilt Calendar tutorial. For that, you must be a member of the Country Craft Creations Facebook group to access that video. So please check it out, the information and link is below. Country Craft Creations is an amazing online community. Visit the store here. We have an amazing Facebook Community as well, so please check it out... I also have a printable for the 2025 calendar that I designed for myself. You can access this in the link below. PLEASE BE AWARE...This printable worked for my computer and my printers (I tried it on two of the printers I have) and how I describe to cut them in the tutorial worked for me. Please test and check your printable to make sure the measurements and cutting is accurate. I had to ensure I printed at 100%. Please Check your settings. Make a practice page by only printing one page to start. I also recommend that you download the PDF file and then try to print, as it did not work correctly just printing from Google Drive. I used a total of 14 different Country Craft Creations exclusive papers to make these calendars and will name them all in the video. I was able to make them all with scraps leftover from previous projects. The link for all of the papers is here, and you can find them here. If they are sold out they will be reprinted, so please check back. Artisan cardstock, 100 lb, is what I used for the boxes, it and all of the other colors of Artisan can be found here.

Here is the cardstock cutting list. The scoring and measurements for patterned paper is in the video. Box for 8 x 8 Calendars: Easel/Tray 1 - 11 x 8 1 - 3 x 6 Box 2 - 12 x 9 Box for 6 x 6 Calendars: Easel/Tray 1 - 11 x 8 Box 2 - 10 7/8 x 7 Hanging Version of an 8 x 8 Calendar Tab Dies from Scrap Diva measured approximately 2 3/8 x 2 before folded, I made 13 total Backing cardstock measured 7 7/8 x 7 7/8, I used a total of 13 of these Photo Corners, 24 pieces of cardstock at 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 Calendar printouts cut at 7 3/4 x 7 3/4 I know this is a lot of information. I hope that you join our group and create a calendar for your own. They are so much fun and so beautiful! Stay crafty, my friends!

Graduate Cap Card Box Tutorial

This is a fun project that was suggested by one of my crafty friends, Heather.  She needed a card box and this is what I came up with.  It's quite easy to make and adaptable to any occasion you may need a card box for.

It's 8x8x8 and the slot is 7x1.  It's plenty big, and the lid is removable for easy access after your party.

I hope you enjoy the video and have fun making it!

Photo Cube Tutorial, a Country Craft Creations Design Team Project

I'm back...YAY! I have finally been able to get this tutorial done. Ruth, from Scrapbookers of Country Craft Creations (find this amazing Facebook page through this link) had asked me if I could figure this out, and I think I did. This is a fun project and it looks great in many different papers, and would be amazing with photos one it intermingled with the fantastic patterned papers I used. For the tutorial I used, from Country Craft Creations, "By the Seaside" and "Love You Forever" I also used scraps from a previous design team package, Echo Park's "Boho Baby" and a collection I purchased from Country Craft Creations, Prima's "Luna". The cardstock is artisan. I used Kraft in two of photo cubes, and White 100 lb for two of the photo cubes. I also used Art Glitter Glue. I hope you enjoy the tutorial...it is really fun to make and easy to do. The cut guide for the cardstock is simple, and I go through all of the patterned papers and their cutting in the tutorial. Thanks for watching, and stay crafty!! Triangles: 2 - 6 x 6 8 - 10 3/4 x 2 1/2 Box: 1 - 10 3/8 x 10 3/8 Belly Band 2 - 3 x 10

I have some updating to do...

Once again, I have fallen a little behind on the blog...but here is an update to what I have been up to.

This is my latest video.    It will be in parts, and it is using the magnificent collection, "Bountiful Blessings" from Country Craft Creations.  It's actually a remake of an old album I made before I was a designer for them.  I have updated it and revised it and I think it will be better than ever!  There is a lot of information in this video's description, so check it out and stay tuned because I have more on this one on the way.

This is a quick video on a project I made on a whim.  I raided my supplies and used a Dollar Tree heart shaped wand with a wooden spool and created this beauty!  Spooky, isn't it??

Here's an idea for a Halloween Treat Box that is quick and easy to make...check out how you can use up some scraps and make a fun little goodie container.

Then I have this video with a tutorial as well.  I used two separate kits from Your Creative Studio.  I altered an old 7 Gypsies notebook and then did a tutorial on my never ending album with some amazing tropical papers.

I hope you enjoy these videos!!

Stay crafty, my friends!!
