Graduate Cap Card Box Tutorial

This is a fun project that was suggested by one of my crafty friends, Heather.  She needed a card box and this is what I came up with.  It's quite easy to make and adaptable to any occasion you may need a card box for.

It's 8x8x8 and the slot is 7x1.  It's plenty big, and the lid is removable for easy access after your party.

I hope you enjoy the video and have fun making it!

Stay crafty, my friends!

Summer Stationery/Card Folio Tutorial

Hello! This is the third design team project I am doing for Country Craft Creations (https//countrycraftcreations.com) using the gorgeous "Summer" paper collection by Carta Bella. It is a beautiful paper collection and you will love what I did with what I had left! I had 2 sheets of 12 x 12 patterned paper and scraps...this is what I made.

This is a folio meant to hold cards and tags. I envision it as something you can fill with goodies and give as a gift. I filled it with cards that can be used for pretty much any purpose...imagine holidays...WOW! Below is a cutting list for you. I did not do a visual cutting guide as this is a simple project and only took 3 sheets of cardstock to make. You will need some ribbon, copier paper, and one magnet. Have fun and let your imagination go with this one. Thanks for watching!! Cover: 2 - 7 1/2 x 7 1/2 Front inside cover accordion with dividers: 2 - 6 x 3 (accordions) 2 - 4 7/8 x 3 (dividers) 1 - 4 x 5 (accordion front) 1 - 6 x 5 (flap) Middle page: 1 - 5 1/2 x 6 1/2 Middle page accordion pockets: 2 - 7 3/4 x 2 1/2 Middle page flat pockets 2 - 5 3/4 x 2 1/2

Valentine Card Swap

I am part of a really great and talented group of ladies, and we do swaps of all kinds from time to time.  We have been a little quiet for a while, but this year we are going to step it up!

For February, we did a Valentine Card Swap.  Six of us were involved and it was so much fun.

Here are the beautiful cards that the ladies made for me.  Aren't they lovely!!!

Below are the cards that I made for the ladies.  I saw a card on Silhouette by Lori Whitlock, a Wiper Card.  I loved the idea, but wanted a bigger card (6x6").  I reworked some measurements and came up with these lovely cards.

I also made tags for each of the cards that the ladies could use in a project/card or could use as a bookmark if they wanted.  The sentiments were from Silhouette.  I just printed them out to size.  I love the kinds of sentiments you can find!

Aren't these cute?  I love how the "wiper" just pops up when you open the card.

I used papers from Park Lane (card stock), and from Echo Park.  I used the "Love Story" by Lori Whitlock.  I'll put a list of other supplies at the end of the post.

On the back of the cards I added an envelope where I wrote a letter and put the tag.  This card is cute, but there wasn't a good place to tuck a letter.  The envelope was a perfect solution.

The other supplies I used were stickers from Hobby Lobby, Pearls from Queen B, Tags from American Crafts, Doilies from Martha Stewart, and Saying Stickers from Tim Holtz.

Thanks for looking!

Have a wonderfully crafty day!

Echo Parks "Oh Snap" Part 3: One Sheet Wonder Cards

Last, but not least, I used the rest of the papers and pieces I had to create these cards.  I used a one sheet wonder sheet I found on Pinterest to cut some of the cards, the rest I just started using up what I had.  I made these great generic cards that are so darn cute!  The three on the top are odd sized, so I used my We Are Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board to create envelopes for them.  (The envelopes are under all of the cards, that is the white you are seeing.)

Thanks for looking, and remember to use up all of your scraps!

Stay crafty, my friends!!

Nikki and Noel...Just a Few Designs New Additions!!

Good morning!  I'm representing the Sassy 6, for Elsa from Just a Few Designs, and she has come up with more stamping goodness for you!

On the left is Nikki...isn't she lovely?  She is available as a digi stamp and she is so fun to color!  I used her to create this Christmas card.  The papers are from DCWV.  The holly brads are by Dear Lizzy.  I created the sentiment on my computer.  Using a corner rounder, I added a little different shape to the card.

Noel is on the right...such an angelic image!  She is so pretty!  She is available as a clear stamp!  Elsa has three other images available as clear stamps also, so please go and check out her images on her site, Just a Few Designs!  I used the same papers for her, but added bling from ZVA creative to give a little more sparkle, along with the gold ribbon.

I colored both with Touch markers...I'll leave a list of the colors I used below.

Elsa is so talented, and her stamps are awesome.  The images stamp perfectly, and the details are incredible!  Please, go and check out her site and order yours today!

More Cards

I love this Sizzix Accordion Album die!!!  I made some baby shower invitations with it in a recent post.  I decided to use it again for my niece's graduation card.
It was so thick that I had to make a box to contain it.
On the back I threaded ribbon to hold a "scroll" of money.  I slipped a note from myself and her
Uncle D in the roll of money.
 "Yay Madie!"

This is a card I gave to my nephew, who was promoted to 9th grade.
He loved this card, especially the pocket made from a coin envelope that had cash in it!!

I hope you liked these cards!

Stay crafty my friends!

Mother's Day Cards, better late than never! And...Announcements!!!

Before I get started with this blog post, I have a couple of announcements that I want to share with you all.

First, Father's Day will be celebrated with the creative geniuses of "Just a Few Friends" On June 8th.  Please make sure you stop by and see what we all have done for the Daddy's in our lives!

And Second, on June 15th there will be another special blog hop.  I can't divulge all of the details, but to say that I am now also part of a group called the "Sassy 5" and we are going to be celebrating a brand new and AWESOME release of something you won't want to miss.  We are working with Elsa, of Just a Few Designs, and she has a super special, awesome and wonderful surprise for us all!

And now, for the blog post!

Here are the Mother's Day cards I came up with this year.  Yes, between me and my hubby, we have 4 mom's!  We love them all so very much!   I bought a card kit from my local scrapbook store,
A Joy Forever.  Follow the link and you will get her directions for the cards on the blog that they just started!  Joy created the designs, made the kits, and I LOVED IT THE MOMENT I SAW IT!  I did some tweaking to the cards for the Mother's Day cards, buying some dimensional stickers that matched the paper line.
The paper line is Knee Highs and Bow Ties by Basic Grey and it is soooooo cute!  I also found out, because of the goodies in this kit, that the "candy dots" by My Mind's Eye are a MUST HAVE!  I went out and bought 4 packages of several different colors!

Have a wonderful and safe Memorial Day, and remember...Stay Crafty, My Friends!
