Midnight Manor Disk Bound October Daily Junk Journal Tutorial, a Country Craft Creations Design Team Project

Hi all, and welcome back! Today I have a fun project for my fellow Halloween Junkies. I wanted to make a sort of October Daily/Junk Journal and I'm using the magnificent collection by Country Craft Creations called "Midnight Manor". This collection is so beautiful, and made a great project. The best part is that this is so adaptable that you can make this project for any type of journal or notebook. Country Craft Creations has many different collections that would also work. So if you aren't a Halloween Junkie, and would like to make one for Fall, or Christmas, or whatever...check it out Country Craft Creations.

I used the "Lay Flat Method" for making the cover of the book. If you haven't seen this method, check out this tutorial I did here. I use 5 Happy Planner Disks, in black, that are approximately 1 1/4" in diameter. Any disk for this type of notebook will work. I also used the We R Memory Keepers Disk Punch. Below is a cut guide for the cardstock and chipboard needed for the project. I cut the patterned paper for inside the journal/on the pockets at 1/8" smaller. For specialty cuts, I include directions in the video. Thanks so much for watching, and I'll see you soon with another tutorial. COVER Chipboard 2 - 7 x 9 1 - 2 x 9 Cardstock 2 - 9 x 11 1 - 5 x 11 1 - 6 x 8 7/8 MATTING FOR THE COVERS The covers are 7 x 9. I triple matted the patterned paper for the front and back covers, but only single matted for the spine. Silver Mirror 2 - 6 3/4 x 8 3/4 1 - 1 3/4 x 8 3/4 Antique Winter Gray, 2 - 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 Burgundy, 2 - 6 1/4 x 8 1/4 (Note, this paper is available but won't be for long, so if you need it you should order.) Patterned Paper 2 - 6 x 8 1 - 1 1/2 x 8 1/2 INSIDE COVER POCKETS (Note: these are the same size but are scored and trimmed differently) 2 - 7 7/8 x 12 BINDING MECHANISM FOR DISKS 1 - 4 1/2 x 8 1/2 1 - 1 x 8 1/2 POCKETS #1 1 - 11 x 12 #2 1 - 8 1/2 x 12 #3 1 - 10 x 12 That's it! The remaining inserts for this junk journal are up to your individual style! I did size this project to hold 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 papers, so one sheet of copy paper will make two pages for your journal.

The patterned papers, artisan cardstock, seambinding are all available at Country Craft Creations... Please check them out! Have fun, and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for watching!!

Hocus Pocus Mini Folio Album, a Country Craft Creations Design Team Project

Hello and welcome back to my channel!

Today I have a cute and quick project using my design team package from Country Craft Creations, https://countrycraftcreations.com.  I'm using Carta Bella's "Hocus Pocus" and it is a fun paper collection!  I was messing around with papers and stumbled upon this idea.  It s full of room for pictures...great for a quick gift/brag book...and it only uses 2 sheets of cardstock to construct!

In the tutorial I have a visual aid on how to cut the cardstock to make the pieces needed.  There is minimal waste of the cardstock.  However, I will also list the measurements below.  I also used 5 sheets of the patterned paper and one sheet of the coordinating cardstock.  On the front I have one of the shaker bubbles and I used black pom pom trim to cover the edges.  I will have links to all of the supplies used for this.

I hope you enjoy the tutorial...Stay spooky, my friends!

Cutting List for Cardstock:  I list this in numbered pieces, because of the way I construct this project.  Cut one of each piece, except for the pockets where you will cut two of two different sizes.  Two of the pieces (#2 and #3) are the same size, but are scored differently.

#1 - 6 1/4 x 6, left flap

#2 - 10 x 6, right flap

#3 - 10 x 6, right flap

#4 - 5 1/2 x 7, top flap

#5 - 5 1/2 x 6 1/4, bottom flap

#6 - Pockets, 1 - 2 x 6, and 1 - 2 x 5 1/4

#7 - 5 x 5 1/2, flap to go onto piece #1

Homer's Diner Record Album Tutorial, a Country Craft Creations Design Team Project

OMGEEEEE!!! I'm late! I totally forgot to post the link to this tutorial! I can't believe I did that!

This is a fun album that you are going to love...and it includes A REAL 45 ALBUM!

I am using the fantastic collection available only at Country Craft Creations called Homer's Diner...It is AMAZING! This 1950's themed paper is going to make you so happy when you use it!

My inspiration was a memory I had of books made to hold 45's, and then the players to play them. I was fortunate to find one in a local antique mall, and used the album as the cover of this book. If you can't find a 45, I will share with you a couple of methods to make one out of cardstock. Below is the cut list for this project. I hope you like it. If you have questions please let me know. Thanks so much for watching and I'll see you soon with more fun tutorials. CUT LIST Cover Chipboard: heavy weight 2 - 8 x 8 1 - 2 1/2 x 8 Cardstock: 2 - 10 x 10 1 - 5 1/2 x 10 1 - 5 1/5 x 7 7/8 I use the lay flat method in this tutorial: https://youtu.be/VDrBoasyqtc Pink cardstock: 2 - 7 3/4 x 7 3/4 1 - 2 1/4 x 7 3/4 Pages: These are stacked, almost like my waterfalls that I make in this tutorial, but are constructed in sets, an outer set and an inner set. I explain this in the video Outer set: 2 - 9 1/4 x 7 1/2 Inner set: 2 - 8 1/4 x 7 1/2 Pockets: 4 - 8 1/2 x 8 The cover decoration is a real 45 record. Its diameter is ~6 3/4" The inner circles are: Cardstock 3 3/4 diameter, patterned paper 3 1/2 in diameter The needle arm is a piece of chipboard cut at 3/4" wide and approximately 5" long, and I'll explain how to make the angle in the tutorial Inside front cover, vertical to horizontal waterfall...a version of this is also used in this tutorial I did in the past...https://youtu.be/cW5SUt9h-GE Cardstock bases: 4 - 4 1/2 x 7 Coordinating cardstock and patterned paper to mat: cut 4 each- 4 1/4 x 6 3/4 I will show how to score the corners in the tutorial Inside Back Cover: Pocket: 1 - 9 (-1/16") x 4 1/2 Scrap of cardstock for behind pocket, is used to cover the chipboard, and is explained in the tutorial Album inserts: I used my Silhouette to cut the circles needed for this A Side: Black Cardstock: 4 - 7 1/4" diameter Coordinating Cardstock: 4 - 3 1/2 diameter patterned paper: 3 1/4 diameter B Side: White Cardstock: 4 - 7" diameter Patterned paper half circles have a 3 1/2" radius Border Strip Pockets: These use the 1" border strips in the paper collection. Cardstock: 4 - 5 x 1 1/8, cut ends at a 45 degree angle as shown in the video Patterned paper: using the border strips you will need 4 - 4 5/8 x 1, again cutting the 45 degree angles as shown in the video. Let's Create Project Planner/Organizer, a Design Team Project for Country Craft Creations

Good morning! Today I come to you with this little (ok BIG) offering. This is a design team project for Country Craft Creations, using Echo Park's "Let's Create" paper collection. As soon as I saw it I knew what I wanted to do with it. I am involved in a lot of projects and I needed a more organized (and pretty) way to do that. So, I came up with this. It's a great project because you can watch this video, then mix/match what you want to do with your planner/organizer. It's very versatile, and can be used for so many things.

Below is a cutting list and a supply list. Here's a little disclaimer...I was a little "off" today for some reason...there are a few bloopers but I tried really hard to put up warnings in case you are doing the project while watching it. As I go through the video I will give you paper sizes for cutting the patterned papers. In the cut list I am giving scoring information. I don't do that all of the time, but since I was a little goofy today I thought I would do it to help. Every effort has been made to make sure things are accurate. Please let me know if you have questions. Thanks so much for your support and I'll be back soon with more! The haul video I did for this paper collection is here...this shows how much paper I received. I did use most of it, with only scraps left over. For the Country Craft Creations printable you must be a member of the Facebook Group Scrapbookers of Country Craft Creations. Go here for a link to join. Good Times Tag Pocket/Frame Album

Hello!  I am “back” from the Country Craft Creations Virtual Retreat, Crafting at the General Store!  What a fun weekend. If you haven’t checked out the retreats at Country Craft Creations you have to!  They are so much fun and, WOW!  The projects are fabulous!  I have one more to make and then I’ll do a little video share to show you what we do all weekend!

http://countrycraftcreations.com

I’m the meantime I have this share of a quick album I made. This happened because of a clearance sale at a local store I just ran into. I used Simple Stories Chipboard frames, papers from my stash, and voilà, a new mini. This is a walk through/talk through video. I don’t have a tutorial but I tell you exactly what I did.

I did use Art Glitter Glue, seam binding and some Artisan Cardstock from Country Craft Creations. The papers I used are scraps from previous projects by Echo Park, two different collections that I put together. I think that they all worked beautifully together.

Have fun and I’ll see you soon with another tutorial. I have so many things in the works!

Let Freedom Ring, A Swap Project!!

Bobbie Weaver and I did a swap project together.  She is also a designer for Country Craft Creations, and she contacted me with a fabulous idea.  We each purchased the same paper collection from Country Craft Creations, it was Echo Park's "Let Freedom Ring".  We made a project, sent them to each other, and today was the day we both had the projects sent and we released the videos!

We each also did a tutorial for the projects we made.  This was so much fun and Bobbie did such a wonderful job!!!  Please check out her YouTube, The Paper Jungle.

Here's the link to her tutorial for the project she made for me.

She also did a very sweet reveal of the book I made for her.

Here is the video of the GORGEOUS album she made for me!  I did a walk through and it is just wonderful!!!!

Here is the tutorial for the project I made for her...and yes, it has an "explosion book" style theme!!!

Thanks so much for watching, and have an excellent day!

Simple Stories meets Heartfelt Creations, an Album Project Share

This is a video that will show you what I did with the Heartfelt Creations 8x8 Insta-Album that I purchased from Country Craft Creations.  The papers (some of them from Country Craft Creations and some from a local craft store) are Simple Stories, Simple Vintage Lemon Twist.  I've been hoarding these for a while, and this was the perfect album to use them on!

This is a fun and easy album to create as the album is all pre-made.  I did alter it a little, and I discuss this in the video.

Have a crafty day!

Happy 4th of July! Hi, and welcome back. Today I have this fun tutorial to share.

Bobbie is one of our fantastic designers at Country Craft Creations, and I'm excited that she contacted me to do the upcoming swap project, and thrilled to have one of her creations in my collection!

The Paper Jungle with Bobbie Weaver I'm using Echo Parks "Let Freedom Ring", that I purchased from Country Craft Creations. You can find this collection here. Rustic Sunflowers Letterboard Project, a Country Craft Creations design team project

This is a great project that I think you will love and have fun with.  I wanted to create a letterboard…they are still very popular.  I had the idea of making one with paper.  Because of the nature of this, I was able to use up a bunch of scraps from my stash!

Welcome back to the 3rd design team project for Country Craft Creations (https://countrycraftcreations.com)  using the awesome collection "Rustic Sunflowers" by Heartfelt Creations.

I did the original project using the design team package with Carta Bella’s “Farmhouse Summer”.  In the tutorial I’m using Heartfelt Creations “Rustic Sunflowers”.  I hope you enjoy it!

There are a few things you need:

I used scraps/leftovers from two design team packages, Carta Bella "Farmhouse Summer"

https://www.countrycraftcreations.com/search?type=product&q=farmhouse%20summer*

and Heartfelt Creations "Rustic Sunflower"

https://www.countrycraftcreations.com/products/heartfelt-creations-rustic-sunflower-12x12-paper-collection?_pos=5&_sid=716d03667&_ss=r

Brown Artisan Cardstock for the Frame/Tray

1 - 12 x 11 3/4

2 - 11 3/4 x 3

2 - 12 x 3

Black Artisan Cardstock for the “tubes” (this is where the scrap stash came in handy)

1 - 11 x 10 3/4

21 - 11 x 2 1/2  Yes, you need 21 of these...believe me, the end result is worth it!  :)

Artisan Cardstock is available here:  https://www.countrycraftcreations.com/collections/artisan-cardstock

The “T” pieces for attaching items to the board, I made these with brown cardstock:

1 - 12 x 3

1 - 12 x 2

I used a length of Seam Binding to make the hanger.

The seam binding can be found here, https://www.countrycraftcreations.com/collections/seam-binding

I also used Art Glitter Glue and Score-Tape from Country Craft Creations, which can be found here, https://www.countrycraftcreations.com/collections/adhesives

Items from my stash included corners for the tray, lady bugs, butterfly dies and punches,  and flowers.  I hope you enjoy the project.

Welcome back for the second project I'm making using the Heartfelt Creations collection "Rustic Sunflowers". This is a design team project for Country Craft Creations.  https://countrycraftcreations.com

I made this fun album that has a removable graduated pocket piece that holds graduated sized tags.  There is a lot of room for embellishments and pictures, and the possibilities are endless for what you could do with the basic design of this album.

Below is a cut list and a supply list for the project.  I used approximately 12 sheets of patterned paper for this and approximately 8 pieces of Summer Ivory Artisan Cardstock (which was my base color).  I also used a few sheets of Brown Artisan Cardstock as a contrasting color.  Have fun and I'll see you soon with another tutorial!

Rustic Sunflower Mini Album Tutorial, a Design Team Project for Country Craft Creations

Hi and welcome back to my channel. Today I have a tutorial for you on my album made as a design team project for Country Craft Creations. I'm using the Heartfelt Creations paper collection called "Rustic Sunflower" and I think I have made a cute project. I was endeavoring to use the 6x6 cutapart pages for this album, and the other odd sized cutaparts in this collection. I made the album first to show you, and then we will be using "Heart Of Courage" from Country Craft Creations for the tutorial.

This album is unique, as I am using a different idea for a binding system. Although it is not the same, seeing this album by Bobbie (another Country Craft Creations designer) gave me an idea. I'll explain during the video. Also, I did a little something different in the cover, inspired by Nicole (another Country Craft Creations designer). Here are their links to their channels/videos. Bobbie, the video that gave me an idea is here...I love these little gems! Nicole's channel is here, and she shared the idea for the cover. Below is the cutting guide. This album doesn't take much, and as I said, it was built around the 6x6 cutaparts in the paper collection. Thanks for watching and I'll see you again soon. Gradening Journal

Hey, good morning and Happy Sunday!  I shared this on my YouTube Channel and it is a fabulous project!  It is not my design.  It is actually a combo project that I made using a tutorial from Sam at Mixed Up Craft and the ephemera and other items sent to me by Amanda at Your Creative Studio.  I love love love how it came out and I think you will too!

You can find the tutorial for this amazing journal by Sam of Mixed Up Crafts here. When I saw this I knew I had to make it. It was a fun project! But then so didn’t know how to decorate it. That’s when I received the beautiful box of goodies from Amanda of Your Creative Studio. I have an unboxing video here.  The main site for Amanda is here at Your Creative Studio.

This April subscription box was perfect to decorate this journal and create a gardening notebook. And also, this is just in time as we are planning some major yard overhaul this summer. In this journal I also used gorgeous seam binding from Country Craft Creations at so visit them also! Thanks for watching and stay crafty!

Victorian Sewing Box Tutorial is Live!!

Hi, and welcome back to A Creative Operation! Today I have the tutorial I did as a design team project for Country Craft Creations or my Victorian Sewing Box. I did a walk through of this project in a video you can see here. This project can be adapted to create an "album" or use as a gift box, the design is very versatile! Below is a cut list and a list of the supplies used. I do share how to make the hexagon patterns you will need to make this project using a compass! This project brought out the "math nerd" in me! If you use a cutting machine you can cut them out with that. If you are a member of Scrapbookers of Country Craft Creations Facebook page, then you will have access to files for the Cricut and Silhouette to cut these shapes. Any of these methods will work to make the shapes. For the hexagons you will need to make patterns for shapes with the following side sizes: 3 3/4, for the box top 3 5/8, for the patterned paper for the box top, and/or the mat for the box top 3 1/2, for the box bottom (you will cut two of these) and one in the patterned paper for the box top 3 3/8, for the patterned paper for the box bottom For the box sides, 6 - 3 1/2 x 6 in the main color and 12 at 3 3/8 x 4 7/8 for the mats in the contrasting color. Pockets, 6 - 6 1/2 x 2 1/2 in the main color Inner box, 1 - 10 x 10 Lid Sides, 6 - 4 1/2 x 2 You will make one large hexagon in the main color, and two of the I used a variety of products from Country Craft Creations, including the paper collection "A Mother's Love" available here. I did use the 12 x 12 paper collection for both the walk through project and the tutorial project. I used Artisan cardstock for both projects. The first used Brown and Kraft, this tutorial project used Denim and Baby Blue. I also used the following: Seam binding lace

Pom pom trim Flowers You will also need Art Glitter Glue, Scor Tape, and Foam Tape. The items that I put in the boxes mostly came from Hobby Lobby (the sewing kit and the embroidery supplies). I used buttons and some flowers from my stash. If you have any questions please let me know, I'm always happy to help. I want all of my tutorials to be easy to understand and follow. Thanks for watching and have a crafty day!
