So, here it is, my first crafting project in my new room. I feel like I haven't made anything in forever!
I needed a clock in my new room...so I made one. And, the fun part is that I found all of my supplies in the move from one space to another! I have a cell phone that I carry with me everywhere, and it does tell me the time, but nothing replaces a nice clock that you can look at without trying to dig a phone out of your pocket and unlock it on so that you can read it!
I used some 8" cardboard cake bases for the base of the clock. I covered it with this lovely Vintage Lady paper by Melody Ross, then added a simple clock mechanism I got YEARS ago at Michael's. I distressed the edges with Tim Holtz distress inks. It is kind of hard to see but I added "pearl" earrings to the two middle ladies, then added an "emerald" broach to the lady in pink. I also gave the lady in blue a "diamond" ring. I had the plastic easel and it sits perfectly on my windowsill in front of my desk. I love how it turned out, and it only took about 20 minutes to make.
I have officially Christened my new craft room!
Stay crafty, my friends!
