Happy National Scrapbook Day!!!

I hope you all are having a wonderful, paper cutting, picture taking, memory making kind of a day.  I am going to be at our local Craft Warehouse attending some demonstrations on how to use the Silhouette Cameo that my Hubby just bought me.  So far…I LOVE IT!!  But it sure has a lot of things I need to learn!  I can't wait to start creating projects with it!!

For your viewing pleasure, I am showing you this mini album I made using Graphic 45's Bohemian Bazaar paper collection.  I just love how it turned out!  The colors are so bright and cheerful, perfect for a celebration mini album.

This top view shows off the gatefold style of the album.  I made the pages out of file folders.

 The folders are cut and folded in such a way to give multiple pockets and a tag piece that's built into the page.

On the back cover of the album I made another photo mat and tag. There is so much room to put photos and journaling!!  

I am planning on doing a YouTube video on this mini, how it works, and a tutorial to show you how to do the pages.  Stay tuned!!

May Flowers

Happy May to you all!  We have had our April showers, it's time for May flowers.  

This is my "sign" for my typewriter.  I made a "doily" with a Lucky 8 punch, and added the paper pieces to it.  I also punched a butterfly, added bling and a flower I made.  I hope you like it!

March and April ARC Planner Pages

Hello Everyone.  I just wanted to share my March and April planner pages. 

 I decorate them according to my mood, and if there are specific events that I want to highlight.

Some of them are fun, some are not my favorites.  

 The one above, with the iPhone papers I used, turned out to not be one of my favorites.  It wasn't colorful enough.

 I loved this one, the roses are adorable, and it was so pretty.

 This was another one of my favorites, I liked the green, purple and yellow.  This theme will be coming back.

 I used a postcard I got from Penzy's for my menu planner.  

 This layout used leftover stickers from my Echo Park projects.  

 This week I had a couple of days that I had a lot to do, so I used some separate pages for those extra things (and stuff).

 I wrote down a lot, didn't I?

View Master Mini Album

 In keeping with buy 3D theme of making things (like my post on the Polaroid Mini Album), I decided to make a View Master Camera.

 I had made the reels a while ago, using my Gypsy to design them for my Cricut.  I used a few in miscellaneous projects, and had a few left over.  I bound them simply with a ring.

 The body of the camera is one sheet of paper, the eye pieces on the front and the lever are separate pieces glued onto the project.  The space for the album is 3/4" wide, so I am going to make a few more reels to put into the album.

I wonder what I should make next???

Echo Parks "Oh Snap" Part 3: One Sheet Wonder Cards

Last, but not least, I used the rest of the papers and pieces I had to create these cards.  I used a one sheet wonder sheet I found on Pinterest to cut some of the cards, the rest I just started using up what I had.  I made these great generic cards that are so darn cute!  The three on the top are odd sized, so I used my We Are Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board to create envelopes for them.  (The envelopes are under all of the cards, that is the white you are seeing.)

Echo Park's "Oh Snap" Part 2: A Polaroid Mini Album

 Remember these?  This is an OLD OLD OLD Polaroid camera I have had for well over 20 years, maybe even 25.  I can't buy film for it, I don't know if they even make it anymore.  I have upgraded to the new Instax cameras, and I love it.  But I loved this one too.

 Big, clunky, and well used.  I decided to make one from paper!!  I have seen these done, but haven't seen tutorials.  So, I sat down with a ruler and pencil and graph paper, and came up with my own pattern based off of my own camera.  Here is what I came up with.

I LOVE IT!!!  I can't believe how cool it turned out to be.  I raided my stash for jewels and such to act as the buttons.  The body of the camera is one piece, that I folded and put together. 

The flash and eye viewer are separate boxes added on.  Don't you love the "picture" coming out of the camera?

 I wanted to make it a mini album also, but how to do it?  Well, I made a drawer.

 If you pull the picture, the drawer opens and a mini album is inside.

 I used leftover pieces from the collection that I had from the Part 1 cereal box project.  Since these are small, I used pieces of the actual packaging for most of the smaller embellishments.

 I also used the small shots of the papers on the packaging to create these "polaroid" pages.

 This turned out so cute!!

 Simple, and plenty of space for journaling on each page.

Now, I need to show you part three!!!  I can't believe how much I created with this mini paper pack!!

Echo Park's "Oh Snap!" Part 1: Cereal Box and Mini Album!!

 I bought this Mini Theme pack by Echo Park, and promptly hoarded it with my other treasures.  Until I saw this video that shows how to make a cereal box with your We Are Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board, by LiveLoveScrap.  I knew I had to try it, and I knew these were the papers to use.

 Here is a top view of the box, very cool!!  This is a super easy project, her tutorial is awesome!

I figured that something had to go inside of the box, so I decided to make a mini album.

 I raided my stash and came up with this tag album, full of film goodies.

 I used some of the papers from the paper line, some tags, and card stock from my stash.

 Here is the front of the book, splayed out.

Now, I bet you are wondering why this is called "Part 1".  I had papers left over and what to do with them?  You aren't going to believe what I did!!!  The next post will show you the second part of this paper pack crafty explosion.  There will be a third part as well!!  I made the most of this mini pack!  I may do a video on this also.  Stay tuned...

Graphic 45's April Challenge

 This is my take on the Graphic 45 monthly challenge.  The link to the original post and the project sheet can be found here on the Graphic 45 Blog.

 Every month the challenge is to create a mini, using the base book and the paper collection they choose.  You make the mini, upload a picture to their Facebook page, and they choose a winner for a cool prize package.

 The mini is made of file folders and tags.  I added black card stock for photo mats.

 I used a variety of flowers and bling from my stash.  I also made flowers using the add on pieces you can buy for this collection, which is, by the way, the Mother Goose Collection.

 The challenge was to use the Mother Goose papers for a different look, a Spring look.

 I love how it turned out.  The base book is super easy to put together, the project sheet is awesome.

 I added a couple of flip pages.

 The blank spaces are going to be for journaling.

 It is quite a big book!  I am using it for our vacation, which I am currently on, for April.  Hence the name "April" on my cover.

 Lots of pics, I know, but it turned out pretty neat!

 I didn't take the tags out, but the ones on the left are actually "Polaroid" type tags.  The tags used as pages were supposed to be by Graphic 45, but I didn't have any, and my local stores don't carry any.  I am hoping that the Creative Keepsakes Convention I am going to tomorrow with Jackie has them, if they do I am buying them up!

I love the different page sizes and styles.
